been left behind as well as street art, urban culture, underground
fashion or what ever other random shit I find. You can also visit my main website here.
FilmPosted by Roy Mar 21, 2013 10:44PM Spent last weekend shooting the first two days of 4 for a short drama piece. Was fun rigging the huge green screen studio over at STDH and pulling out two days of great shots and material. Next week we shoot all the car driving plates (backgrounds)
A petty car thief in a small Southern Ohio town gets involved in an underground game of life and death.
So I spent most of January in Columbus, Ohio working with director Nicholas Bushman on Union Furnace, a Thriller set in a small town where some will do anything for money. Was a good 23 day shoot and is now in post production. More info to be released soon.
FashionPosted by Roy Dec 14, 2011 01:39PM So Last week I had an editorial premiered at Vagazine which is a New York based Fashion Magazine and new Webzine. The pictures made a good splash and was fun to have them featured on the opening of the site. You can see the ones they used at vagazine.com or hop on over to my updated website to see the full set.
Today we were out location scouting for our next editorial which will be shot Jan. 3rd and out in March at some point. More updates on that will follow but we have an awesome location booked and it will be another fun day on set. Here is a quick snap shot from the scouting.
As 2011 draws towards its end its fun to know that 2012 is already filling up with trips and projects as well as exciting new tools to work with. There will be a lot happening and it will be fun to be updating the process here and sharing. Until then, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everyone.
Random StuffPosted by Roy Dec 04, 2011 03:28PM So I guess it's kind of fitting this post comes now. My last post which was 2 months ago had me in Munich shooting a commercial for MCM and I just saw it yesterday for the first time. I really can't wait to post it here but it will be a few more weeks until that can happen.
It's been a really busy fall, Spending two weeks in Africa shooting a Documentary about HIV/AIDS for Harvard University which premiered the other day (Dec 1st, AIDS Day) and received very positive feedback.
Since being back in Stockholm I have even had time to shoot a Cover/Editorial for "Vårt Nya Bad och Spa" which is sitting on shelves in Sweden as I type this as well as another Editorial which will have it's debut in New York very soon. More posts with that will follow.
But to be going on current events instead the other day we shot a new awesome editorial which will have more of an artistic spin. We were lucky enough to have a great model from Elite Stockholm by the name of Gabriella and work with Scottish make up Artist Beverly McColgan who specializes in airbrush techniques, while Natalie Olenheim took care of the styling. The pictures are now sitting in post production with a good friend and awesome artist Magnus Fredriksen who will be illustrating the remaining details on the shot before they are released. Here is a behind the scenes shot and little corner from one of the images to tease the imagination.
Spent last week in New York and Boston but just before that had a quick stop over in Munich where I shot a video for the German bag company MCM. The video was shot parallel with their new collection which was being photographed by Camilla Åkrans. The 2 minute fashion film should be out just before Christmas and the images probably sooner. It was an awesome and quite unique production with full blown team and craziness. We shot the video in two formats spread over 4 cameras and 3 rigs. While some shot horizontally for the usual TV/Web format we had a second rig shoot vertically for store screens and other vertical media. Framing 9x16 instead of 16x9 was a new and interesting way to see video. Look forward to seeing some results soon.
